A charity film

The people’s film. For every child in every country.

The Film They Don’t Want You to See!

Can I go
home now?

A humanitarian director entered active war zones to make an independent, charity-produced film, where only children speak, to protect every child in every country. Now, following death threats and attacks on his property and cars, the director lives under constant threats. THEY are trying to stop the film’s release to silence the children’s voices. He set out to help protect children in all countries. Now he needs the public’s help to bring their voices to the world. This is the people’s film. Our movement. Donate to help release it.

“An extraordinary new documentary.” — Mark Hollingsworth, The Independent

The film they don’t want you to see.

The director is living in fear. Death threats. Attacks on his property. His companies hacked. A targeted break-in in London. All he set out to do was make a film that could help children all over the world. Now he is terrified for his life.

He will not give up. The first time he risked his life, he walked into active war zones to film the children. He is risking it again by releasing the film while the threats continue.

This is not a political film. It is not anti any country. It is pro every child in every country. Only the children speak. Adults are not allowed to talk. Politicians are banned. A film travelling the world can do more for children than politicians touring it. It is a charity film. A non-profit. No one takes a profit from it.

They are trying to stop the film from releasing. Let us, the people, answer them by showing the film everywhere. We are all a part of the film and the movement. It will reach cinemas, parliaments and classrooms only if we carry it there.

We are also going past the distributors. They have consistently tried to change the film to make it more commercial. We will not. The film stays pure, and it stays focused on the children. That is why this is a self-release.

We want the world to see this film. It deserves the same large canvas of cinema and theatres that Marvel movies and other commercial films receive. The children should not be given a smaller screen because their film refused to be made commercial.

“It’s enough now. You can stop shooting.” — a child in the film

Let us make the answer yes.

£2,000,000 needed to release a charity film. Not a commercial picture. A non-profit. The people’s gifts and the larger gifts are one goal.

Only the children speak. Adults are not allowed to talk. Politicians are banned. No experts. No adults translating a child’s life into an argument. The film is finished and held by a charity.

The voices the world was not supposed to hear.

“We were promised we were going to a camp like the Bahamas. My Mum came to pick me up, but she was late. The gates were closed … we were put on a ship.”

Vitaly, 16

“You could hear five-year-old kids constantly crying, begging to go home. I tried to hide my tears. I thought I would never go back home.”

Vitaly, 16

“I woke up in a pit. I couldn’t move at all as I was under the concrete slabs. I didn’t have enough air. I was covered with rubble.”

Sofia, 11

“When I grow up, I want to be a gymnastics coach and go to the Olympic Games. I would say: stop shooting. We didn’t do anything bad to you.”

Sasha, 6

Testimonies as published in The Independent, 31 July 2026. The film itself contains no adult voices. Focusing on the voices of the children, Mark Hollingsworth wrote, “brings its own power.”

About the film

Let us make the answer yes.

Can I Go Home Now? is a charity film, produced by the non-profit Humans of Our World Foundation. It is finished. Distributors have consistently tried to change it — to make it more commercial. We prefer it to stay as it is: only the children, nothing added for the market, and no profit taken from it. This fund is the self-release — so the world can see it on the same cinema canvas given to Marvel and other commercial films. Prints, advertising, theatres. The children’s voices, unchanged.
